Delta Dawn
About Delta Dawn
Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
Delta is the truest version on an old country song about a good dog that means no harm and just wants to live a peaceful happy life. Delta came from a hoarding situation (what a common theme, hey, wonder if we should ever deal with those differently?). Anyways, Delta was one of many. A vet tried to help and adopted her out but Delta was too scared and too nervous to be on her own. She ran a good 20 miles and needed to be live trapped and now she resides here.
She loves to nap in the sun and hates when I put the horses or cows or alpaca in her pen to mow the lawn but deals with it. Hates it even worse when she gets carted to the vet for a hairdo. But other than those two minor inconveniences (which she thinks are catastrophic, life altering, traumatic events), she happily leaves the yard and sun tans and excitedly waits to see what treats might arrive in the food bucket.
