Derby

If sweet and cute and loyal and silly needed a poster child, it would be Derbs. She’s the kindest, loveliest dog and would sit for pets all day; and if you aren’t petting her, she’ll sit in the pool. Derby was also live trapped only because she was sooo sooo sooo scared. She wants so desperately to be friends but if you move too fast in the beginning, she panics. It takes very little to win her over, then she’ll love you forever.

So why is this sweet heart a sanctuary dog?? Derby was adopted twice, but people forget she’s nervous and put her in situations that cause her to react and back she comes. We’ve decided she’s so brave and happy here and it’s not worth putting her through that again.
