Meet Ryhka! She is another lifer here at Ferne's Acres Animal Sanctuary. Ryhka came to us because she didn’t really like kids; as I’m sure you know, kids are weird and the smell funny and her owners had a baby... see where I’m going with this? Ryhka held firm to her beliefs that the new baby should be re-homed, but that is frowned upon. So, unfortunately, Ryhka was the one that had to move. Ryhka’s owners searched for a safe place for her to land.

Ryhka wasn’t easy; she doesn’t love dogs and didn’t love being a farm dog as she was a city girl, but slowly Ryhka made Ferne's her home. She now much calmer and even tolerates her lovable but nuttier than squirrel sh*t, ball obsessed roommate Odin! Ryhka is the perfect example of what a second... or third... or maybe even a fourth chance can do for a dog. Without the donations and sponsorships we receive, none of this would be possible. So please, if you can’t adopt them, maybe consider sponsoring a dog so we can help other dogs like Ryhka have a fourth chance at life.
